So I'm sure most new moms and moms-to-be are familiar with Target's registry service. I was just flipping through their "Inspiration Catalog" when I came across this adorable presentation for a shower gift! So let's try to put it together, shall we?Okay so starting with something like these Classic Pooh Pacifiers, we'll need a few packs but four pacifiers will cost $2.99Now for the gift wrapping - I really love Martha Stewart's Craft line. She has these beautiful treat boxes packaged 18 for $29.99. Not to mention that they come in very shower appropriate colors.
Now if you weren't so keen on buying boxes in bulk, most crafty stores have a confectionery section with bon bon boxes and cups. You could even cover it with decorative paper, using a glue stick or some fun contact paper. You really could put this adorable gift box together for under $10!

Another NYC Boutique, Part I

This is a bit out of my recession auntie gift budget but I love this boutique nonetheless! I just love Spring Flowers Children's Boutique, they have beautiful gifts and clothing. I'm always complaining about how children's clothing has become too risqué, well here they definitely defy the odds! I love this store so much that this is only post Part I!

So I'm a sucker for classic smocked dresses and this one, with its peter pan collar, is just adorable. It is priced starting at $265

Beautiful Cashmere Cardigan, priced at $295, with little rhinestone buttons this is a hand-me-down I would love to receive!

Fine Baby Shoes

While we were on vacation, I stopped into the most darling boutique in Portland, Maine. A&L Home specializes in home goods and gifts but they had a beautiful selection of these little needlepoint shoes. Featuring themes like the pirates, palm trees, teddy bears, dragonflies, sailboats etc they are adorable and will make a great keepsake/heirloom clothing piece. My favorite, "for when in Rome," would be the lobster ones priced at $42.
More of note are the monogrammed ones at $52

Horses for Kids

On vacation we visited some of our horsey friends in upstate New York; we too are horse people. I started thinking about how there are some parents that are just blessed with horse crazy kids! Er cursed, depending on who you ask! I was surveying one of my favorite horsey gift shop, Back in the Saddle and noticed that they have a fantastic kids' corner.

These make me hope that it rains soon, Ponies on Parade wellies. They are priced at $29.95I love this pretty, rustic nightlight. Back in the Saddle carries so many horsey/rustic decorating things. This little light is only $16.95

Less expensive than the real thing, not to mention less work, this horsey Tire Swing comes in at $159
