Halloween I - Treat Bags

So the start of October really gets my mind working on Halloween fun! I love the fall with just so many holidays. For a budget buy I am loving these little "trick or treat" bags from Pottery Barn Kids. From $12 to $19, my favorite thing about them? After Hallowed Eve they store flat waiting for next year!! Here are my favorite designs:

I can't help but gush about this modern baby furniture from Target. Dwell Studio designed this Silver Lake Changing Table dresser to last, coming in at $249.99

Non-Diaper Diaper Tote

I used my LL Bean tote as a child, holding my beach gear, picnic gear, etc. Even in college, I used the very same bag for books. When my sister-in-law gave me a much overdue replacement, I couldn't help but think how handy these totes come in for just about anything. So recently a couple of friends have found that they are expecting! I decided to investigate good mommy-to-be gifts and yesterday's candle is only the tip of the iceberg. So some present moms have told me this was a pregnancy favorite as their bellies were growing. Two different brands have been cited so I'll tell you about both and you can decide for yourself! First is the Bella B Tummy Honey at $19.95The second version was the Burt's Bees Mama Belly Butter for $11.19Lastly, what a great gift basket for a new baby, the Burt's Bees Bundle of Joy Basket at $24.99

Airfork One

This affordable gift fork is a riot! Made of stainless steel and silicone this is easy to clean, dishwasher safe and so fun. Priced at only $10, thanks to the Bibelot, one of my all time favorite shops!

Crafty Girl's Room

Okay so I confess, I love Martha Stewart. I was just perusing her website and saw this crafty idea for a crystal embellished lamp - how sweet for a little girl's room.What about a butterfly mobile? You can buy one already made from the Dali Museum for $19.99 or order the butterfly garland from GG Distributors for $11.50 and get creative. You could restring it onto a loop, hang them from a curtain rod, whatever you like!

Sometimes, twins happen! When someone is expecting two little munchkins, a whole world of gift giving and fun things opens up!

So after looking at all those beautiful children's clothing items, I decided to see if I could track down some more classic baby clothes on a budget. My favorite place of all? Target! I think this Girls' Floral Eyelet Dress in Pink is just adorable and only $16.99.

Pacifier Gift Idea

So I'm sure most new moms and moms-to-be are familiar with Target's registry service. I was just flipping through their "Inspiration Catalog" when I came across this adorable presentation for a shower gift! So let's try to put it together, shall we?Okay so starting with something like these Classic Pooh Pacifiers, we'll need a few packs but four pacifiers will cost $2.99Now for the gift wrapping - I really love Martha Stewart's Craft line. She has these beautiful treat boxes packaged 18 for $29.99. Not to mention that they come in very shower appropriate colors.
Now if you weren't so keen on buying boxes in bulk, most crafty stores have a confectionery section with bon bon boxes and cups. You could even cover it with decorative paper, using a glue stick or some fun contact paper. You really could put this adorable gift box together for under $10!

Okay so my sister-in-law just had an adorable baby boy, Ben. I started thinking about all the beautiful baby and children's things on the market today. In truth that is how this blog was born, but in addition, as with anything, there will always be beautiful things if price is no object. So today I'm going to hunt down beautiful baby gifts for under $50! Tomorrow? $20!!

Our first item today is this delicate Silver Keepsake Bracelet from Pottery Barn Kids. I love silver engraved items to commemorate the birth of a new addition and this is just adorable and priced at only $49.Number two is the Sailor Name Plaque.
